The House of Hope plans to move from its current, rather small and inadequate rented accommodation. We have been given a small piece of land by the Government of Dominica where we are now in the process of constructing our very own centre.

So far, through a combination of hard work, lots of kindness and prayer, we are progressing towards the realisation of our dream. But it is a constant struggle. If we are to complete our project and provide a fully functional centre for people with mental disabilities, we need all the help we can get.

Thankfully we have been blessed by the generosity of the Social Welfare Department, the Society of St Vincent de Paul, the Christian Children’s Fund, and donations from thoughtful Dominicans living at home and abroad. We thank you all from the depths of our hearts for helping us to provide for some of the House of Hope’s basic needs. But we also must ask for more.

In order for us to realise our vision and take the House of Hope to the next level by extending care and self-help programs to more people with mental disabilities in our community, we must continue to request the support of generous people who can offer it to us. Contributions both in cash and in kind will be put to very good use and are greatly appreciated by everyone associated with the House of Hope.

Donations to the House of Hope can be sent to: The House of Hope, Society of St Vincent de Paul, Sacred Heart Conference, Delices, Dominica, West Indies. Please make check donations payable to “The Society of St Vincent de Paul, Sacred Heart Conference”.
